- The company he started was called ZYG Pharma. The company made significant growth. It started operating in the same year it was founded, as it started operating with Fulford India, and its growth became prominent in the coming years.
- Between 1998 and 2009, ZYG onboarded different companies as its customers. The companies were GSK, Solvay Pharma, Micro Labs, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Ramen and Weil, and Piramal India Limited.
- During the same duration, ZYG was allowed to tender for ESIC and defense supplies. 2001 was the most significant year in the company’s journey as it marked a manufacturing capacity increase to 660MT from 160MT.
- The company then started to export products to Australia and New Zealand in 2010 and US exports in 2012.
- Viren then sold ZYG to Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited in 2015.
